“Angels” is the beautiful new track from “The Last Gate”, the new album by Cesare Picco (Decca Records). Cesare Picco is widely recognized as a talented and committed artist and composer – not only as a pianist, but as a truly multi-faceted and eclectic artist, whose interests and output span the world of classical music through to electronica. Beyond the obvious presence of the piano, the new album is enriched by a cello and the intertwined use of electronics, as well as the introduction of a harmonium - which plays a key role in “Angels”. This ancient instrument, whose sound Picco defines as “natural”, fits perfectly within the soundworld of the new album – reinforcing its unique philosophy.
